Biking

Biking…

First of all, you’ll need bikes to ride. If you’ve brought your own, then Grea. If you haven’t then there is bike hire on the park, from £10 a day for children and £15 a day for adults, or just £20 a week for a child, and £22 for adults. You can hire your bikes anytime between 10 and 5 on weekend days, and then quickly head out and enjoy them.

So, you’re on your bike, but now where to go.

Below are a couple of suggestions:

This route is roughly 19.5 miles through easygoing flat fen land. It passes through some lovely areas such as Woodhall Spa itself and Billinghay, but you’ll need to be more mindful of traffic safety, as the route is mostly on public roads. If you get hungry or thirsty on the way, there are plenty of local cafes and pubs you could stop off at for a quick breather.

This route starts from Jubilee Park, and will offer you views on the River Witham, Tattershall Lakes Country Park, Tattershall Castle, the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight and much more.

Most of the area around Tattershall offers lovely bike riding as it is fairly flat, and therefore suitable for all ages and fitness levels. What better way to get off the park and see more of Lincolnshire by literally getting on your bike and getting out there?
